Justine and Dylan got married on their farm on a warm (and smoky) August day in 2021. They grew up together in a small town just outside of Regina and have been good friends throughout their lives.
Justine and Dylan are so caring and gentle with each other and their many animals on their farm. They have dogs, cats, goats and pot belly pigs. After being with them for a few hours I could tell just how proud they are of the life they have created together.
The ceremony took place in the early afternoon beside their home, the backdrop a beautiful line of trees and a wheat field. It was short, sweet and simple.
We drove around the grid roads and found a sweet abandoned house not far from their farm so we decided to stop there for some photos. I am absolutely obsessed with the location, it was so unique and the colours of the peeling wallpaper really popped behind them. We explored the property and everyone just had a good time!
The reception was back at Justine and Dylan’s farm under a small white tent, guests gathered for drinks, games and the food truck!!!! Oh my gosh the food from the food truck was so good, and was such a great alternative from a buffet (because the pandemic says no to a buffett). If I remember correctly I chowed down on one of the best poutines I’ve ever had.
The night ended with me and the newlyweds sneaking out for some photos at golden hour out in the field and a dance party with all of their friends. The day was intentional and beautiful.
