I'M SOOOO EXCITED
THAT YOU'RE HERE -
Hi! I’m so excited that you’re here. But before I get to know you, you should get to know me! My name is Kaitlyn and I am a small town Saskatchewan girl. I grew up in a tiny town and spent a lot of time at my grandma's farm. For my entire life I have been able to call this beautiful province home. I love wide open spaces, sunsets and all things antique and vintage.
I’ve always loved photography. From the moment I understood how a point and shoot digital camera worked I had one in my hands. I took my little camera with me on every family vacation and took photos of everything, museum displays, golden sunsets, flowers, basically anything that looked pretty. I did this so that I wouldn’t forget what it looked like. I was obsessed with documenting life.
I carried my love of photography through my angsty teenage years and in 2016 I bought my very first “professional” camera. Like most photographers, my first models were my best friends and family but slowly I began to take photos of new people. After highschool I moved away from home to pursue a degree in science (because that made sense), I hated every second of it, so I dropped out. Sorry mom and dad!!! Later, I found a degree that would bring me back home and would fit with my love of photography, Journalism. And I fell in love with it. I finished my degree in 2021, and through that I directed my now award winning documentary.
Storytelling is my life. It is what lights my soul on fire. I love telling people's stories in so many different ways but photography is my favourite.

MY WHY
Photography has always been important to me, and I think that is why I love photographing people so much today. Images are a way to remember a moment in time after it slips from your brain and bring back all the emotions as if it happened yesterday. This is why, as your photographer, I promise to tell your story authentically and honestly.
My background in journalism allows me to expect the unexpected and find a story where you might not even see it yourself.
I am honest, an over-sharer and I wear my emotions on my sleeve. This space is a safe space and I will accept you as who you are and wherever you are in life. I value connection, honesty and communication and want to get to know you and your partner deeply, so that I can show up for you in the best way I can. I hope you will do the same for me.

STARTED 11 YEARS AGO
Childhood memories -
I met my husband Riley in high school. We were great friends for a long time but didn’t start dating until 6 years later. I actually straight up told him no when he asked me to be his girlfriend. I did very quickly realize that was a mistake though --
so I told him we could make it official not long after that.
Together we have two dogs Molly and Briggs, they are the biggest pain in our asses but our greatest companions. I love them endlessly, no matter how much mud they track through the house in the spring.
Home to us is wherever we are together and where we are close to family. Right now that's in a quaint valley town in the rolling fields of Saskatchewan. We love to go camping in the summer in our vintage tent trailer and watch F1 races on the weekends.

TO MEET YOU
So you can understand how I roll a little better, I don’t like coffee or tomatoes (but ketchup is fine), my dogs are my actual children, I'm a fan of shows like Stranger Things and The Office. I can’t STAND being bored (which is probably why I work so much). My mom taught me how to find a good deal which developed into my love of thrifting. I take pride in the fact that 80% of my belongings are second hand. I like almost every genre of music but as a kid, my dad made me listen to 70s/80s rock. I probably didn’t appreciate it at the time but now it is the one kind of music I couldn't live without. Sound like we’d vibe? Send me a message and let's chat.
HI!!! In case you haven’t figured it out yet, my name is Kaitlyn. I love vintage things, the colour green, french fries and cupcakes. When I’m not working, you can often find me at home cuddling with my dogs, at a thrift store, or getting all of my energy out at the gym lifting weights and strutting on the treadmill to the Mamma Mia soundtrack.
