Saskatchewan is a province of many diverse landscapes: from open prairies, to sand dunes and boreal forests. However, one of the most unique spots in the province flies under the radar. This spot is Claybank. At just over an hour drive from Regina, the location is surrounded by the rolling prairies and herds of cattle but the real selling feature is the richly textured clay hills.
I was lucky enough to attend a styled elopement workshop near Claybank, Saskatchewan (Hosted by Claire from Doxa Photography).
The whole day felt as if it was a beautiful dream. The ceremony spot was nestled into a dip in the hills where florals done by Hawthorne Floral Ateliere cascaded down the arch. Mollie’s bouquet and headpiece were such a beautiful accessory to her The Bridal Boutique YQR gown. Her makeup was done by Anh Pham and hair was styled by Free Bird Hair Design. Mollie and Dan explored the hills together and fit in seamlessly with the fall leaves in the background.
The evening ended with an intimate dinner under the stars with cocktails and fresh bread. I was blown away with how this workshop came together, but the location to me is what really made the day extra special.
So if you’re looking for a unique and beautiful backdrop to your love story, consider the Clay Banks.
